Portfolio bug fix updates

Tuesday, April 14th, 2009

A number of bugs have been fixed as of this morning. Below is a list of issues we managed to patch:

1) Some users were seeing an error page in their “About You” section, specifically after uploading a resume. You shouldn’t be seeing those anymore.

2) As a side-effect of the first bug, those who uploaded a resume were getting the same error page in the about section of their showcase. That won’t happen anymore either.

3) A couple of users had watermarks not showing up on their images, now they will.

4) When receiving mail from your agency listing contact form, the “reply-to” header will now have the sender’s email address.

Upload your own resume

Friday, April 10th, 2009

The ability to upload your own resume instead of recreating one is in place. In the same area as before you’ll see the Add/Edit Resume button. Once you click that you’ll select whether you’d like to use our wizard or upload your own. Click upload your own, add your resume, click upload, and rejoice.

They still need to be PDF files. We don’t tolerate other formats because… well… no.

Watermark your online portfolio

Wednesday, April 8th, 2009

Lately we’ve been getting a lot of requests for the ability to watermark your images. I’ve always thought, “hey, if you want your images watermarked, why not do it before uploading them?” It turns out, get this, people tend to like things done for them! Who knew?

We added a nifty little tool that lets you upload a watermark image (I personally suggest you go with a 24-bit transparent PNG for best results) to keep on file and add to images as you upload them. With the new multi-upload tool, you can pretty much gather a big set of images for your project, attach them to the uploader, click the little “Add watermark?” option, and upload away.

All your images will be automagically watermarked. If you don’t upload a watermark image they’ll be watermarked with our logo. You don’t have to go very far to upload one; you can upload a watermark in the settings area or from the box that opens up when you select the “Add watermark?” checkbox when uploading.

Happy showcasing!

Multiple file uploads for your portfolio

Monday, April 6th, 2009

You asked, we listened. You can now upload multiple files rather than one at a time, up to 20 at a time.

What’s next? Well, a little robot is talking about accepting ZIP files full of images, so who knows…
